LOCATIONS
Our family owned business has grown over the years, now with 7 locations serving Penny ice cream. The unique character of the host communities is recognized by the distinct design of each shop.
913 Cedar Street
Downtown Santa Cruz
Our first and flagship location. This is where it all started and where our ice cream continues to be made. Come by and see the (probably) smallest Department of Food & Agriculture licensed dairy manufacturing facility in the State of California!
820 41st Avenue, Santa Cruz
Pleasure Point
Our second location and a neighborhood that gets sweeter by the day. Housed in the original roastery of friend and flavor partner Verve, this location is a perfect jumping off point for surf viewing stroll along East Cliff Drive (cone in hand of course).
141 Aptos Village Way
Aptos Village
Located on the Village Green, the Aptos Village Penny is a hop, skip or a mountain bike jump away from the magical world of The Forest of Nisene Marks. Whether you are seeking merriment at the many events hosted on the Green or a moment of quiet awe in the majestic redwoods, we've got your delicious frosty treat ready and waiting.
262 Mount Hermon Road
The Hanger in Scotts Valley
Immediately adjacent to Sky Park, The Hanger is home to The Penny as well as Laughing Monk Brewing, Home by Zinnia's and MADabolic. You can work out, enjoy a brew and some dinner, get that piece that will tie the room together and then top it all off with a fresh scoop of delicious ice cream!
855 El Camino Real, #121
Town & Country Village
Venturing "over the hill" was a big step for The Penny and we are thrilled to be a member of Town & Country Village, bringing delicious made-from-scratch ice cream to the Palo Alto community including Stanford University.
170 State Street, Los Altos
State Street Market
Immediately adjacent to Sky Park, The Hanger is home to The Penny as well as Laughing Monk Brewing, Home by Zinnia's and MADabolic. You can work out, enjoy a brew and some dinner, get that piece that will tie the room together and then top it all off with a fresh scoop of delicious ice cream!
125 Beach Street, Santa Cruz
Beach Boardwalk Area
The recently expanded Picnic Basket cafe features its own Penny scoop counter where folks visiting the Boardwalk, Main Beach and Santa Cruz Wharf can grab a scoop.
